Peter Murray, the sole Director of MACS, holds a Masters Degree in Education, a Degree in Sports Science and a Teaching Diploma. These qualifications are combined with his extensive experience working in both government and non-government sectors, having held senior management roles in the areas of:

sport & recreation
education
vocational training
health promotion
occupational health and safety
transport

Peter held senior management roles at the PGA of Australia between 2002-2009. Immediately prior to his 6½ years at the PGA he worked in the field of vocational education and training. Prior to this he worked for over 3 years in a senior project management role for the Sydney Olympic Games where he was one of a select group of people to receive an IOC "Golden Rings" award for his services. Peter's experience in both Commonwealth and State government agencies ranges from development of government strategies and delivery of "on the ground" services to briefing government Ministers in relation to development and implementation of national and state regulatory reforms.

In addition to his senior management roles at the PGA, Peter has made a major contribution to the establishment and development of the Australian Golf Industry Council (AGIC), a body established to unite the $2.7 billion golf industry with CEO/Managing Director/President level representation from the golf industry's professional bodies (PGA, ALPG), amateur bodies (Golf Australia), golf course superintendents association (AGCSA), golf club managers association (GMA), golf manufacturing and supply companies (ASGA), golf course architects association (SAGCA) and golf course owners and developers (PGCOA).

Peter has extensive contacts in the general sport industry, the golf industry and across a range of Commonwealth and State Government portfolios. He is also building relationships with other companies and is able to offer additional skills in marketing and information technology to complement to his multi disciplinary skills - see Links.
